Cracky crossover romance idea
Jan. 21st, 2010 09:15 amAfter reading yet another SS/HG story (okay, so I'm addicted), this one with a sweet Remus as another suitor (don't worry, it made sense in context), it occurred to me that a crossover romance that would be nice to see would be Remus/Tara. (Tara from Buffy). They're just both so sweet they deserve each other.

Things I Am Failing To Write
Sep. 8th, 2009 11:16 pmMy faithful alpha readers may have noticed I haven't posted anything in a while. That's because I haven't written anything in a while. Being sick kind of takes away the momentum, y'know. So now I am going to share the frustration by listing a few things I am NOT working on, but should be. I think it's an exercise in masochism, because people telling me I should be writing them isn't going to make me less gloomy. But I also kind of want to say "hey, look, aren't they neat?" So here we go.

Holy Apocalypse, Batman!
Aug. 10th, 2009 07:05 amI had an epic dream last night. It started off with I and my father watching a movie, where a guy's son was apparently super-brilliant, and the son was taken up to a space-station, a sort of research colony. Then we're back to Earth with the father, and there's a mushroom cloud in the distance. Apocalypse! Lots of devastation. And then the people from the space-station come down all rescue-like, and the father is walking one day and sees people coming from the space-station, and lo and behold, it's his son! Reunion time.
However, this is epic movie, so instead of ending there, it goes on. Also, the PoV kept on switching from watching the movie, to being a PoV character in the actual story. ( and there is epicness )
I don't usually have epic dreams like that. This one actually had a plot! Though it sort of meandered away from a plot in the end.

Finish-a-thon ideas
Mar. 3rd, 2009 10:46 pmThe finish-a-thon is coming up in a few weeks, so I've been pondering what story ideas I'll put up for the vote this year. Looking back on the ideas of previous years, and some additional ideas, I have more than ten; but I'd like to have fewer than ten. So, like I did last year, I turn to y'all for feedback on my candidates.

That was wierd
Sep. 16th, 2008 07:02 amPrompted by this post, I decided to try out the "Mysterious Fruit" aka "Miracle Berry" and bought some freeze-dried pills. This morning I tried it. The pill itself (half a pill) tasted a bit tart, but that was okay. I then tried my Bircher Muesli (unsweetened natural yogurt being a main ingredient) and lemon tea (white tea with Real Lemon Juice). The tea tasted mildly sweet, just the way I like it. The Bircher Muesli tasted mildly sweet also. Sucking on a lemon ice cube (that's how I got my lemon juice) the taste was a mix of sweet and sour. Probably it was that my tongue wasn't completely coated. Cool, amazing and weird, though I think I didn't get as much cognitive dissonance as I might have, because I was eating/drinking things that could have had sugar added to them, even though I knew that they hadn't. If I'd been eating an actual lemon, the strangeness would have been greater.

Make a comment listing three characters from fandoms I know. I have to chose which one gets which fate amongst the following three fates (one fate for each character):
- shag-or-die (I must shag them or we both die)
- marry-or-die (I must marry them or we both die)
- mentor-or-die (Either they must teach me some skill, or I must teach them some skill, or we both die)

My brain, it will not shut up

(Indeed, I remember reading a piece of crossover crack in which that was one of the lines...) Well, it just occurred to me that the world would melt down from naive genius cuteness if ( there was a different cracky crossover )

Aug. 25th, 2007 12:53 pmWas cycling through my wallpaper randomly, and just happened to have a Labyrinth image come up immediately after (or before, I forget) a Doctor Who image, which made me wonder: how would the Doctor and Jareth interact? Especially Ten.
