kerravonsen: Kirk buried in Tribbles: "Help! I'm buried in Plot Tribbles!" (Plot Tribbles)

My faithful alpha readers may have noticed I haven't posted anything in a while. That's because I haven't written anything in a while. Being sick kind of takes away the momentum, y'know. So now I am going to share the frustration by listing a few things I am NOT working on, but should be. I think it's an exercise in masochism, because people telling me I should be writing them isn't going to make me less gloomy. But I also kind of want to say "hey, look, aren't they neat?" So here we go.

1) Re-write of "By Any Other Name" (Doctor Who), my second "Parting of the Ways" AU. I think I keep writing PotW AUs because I love Nine and miss him, so I want to invent different ways of him not dying. This is what I was working on most recently, more or less.

2) A fragment of another Snape/Anya drabble or double-drabble or something like that. There's a conversation but it keeps wandering in different directions. Actually, I think this was the most recent thing I worked on.

3) Inspired by all the Harry Potter AU fic I've been reading recently, I have been bitten by a rabid Greater Spotted Crumple-horned Plot Bunny, involving Draco and time-travel (mental rather than physical). It is particularly inspired by
(a) an incomplete story I started reading which involved Draco and time-travel (the "I can do it better" phenomenon)
(b) [livejournal.com profile] jedibuttercup's "Back Again Harry?" which is a HP time-travel story Done Right.
(c) my recent post on how Draco is screwed in Book 6.
I have a pretty good idea how the plot would start, though I'm not sure how it would continue once the time-travel happened: I'd need to scrutinize the books carefully to figure out what Draco might reasonably know, and read up on all the minor characters that he could be interacting with. A lot of work. (sigh)

4) A very wispy ghost of a plot-bunny involving Methos in the Harry Potter universe. I know that "Death and Betrayal" did this very well (I love that story) but I just can't get enough of the idea of Death Eaters meeting Death of the Horsemen and regretting it. But a different take, somehow. Such as, perhaps, Methos actually not knowing about the Wizarding World as it now stands because he thought that Wizards had died out rather than having gone into hiding. And I'm not sure if Immortals would be magical, semi-magical, or be considered to be "magical creatures" (in the sense that vampires and werewolves are magical creatures). I mean, we know that Cassandra was a Witch, but she was unusual. Maybe Methos has taught himself Occulumency as part of hiding his true age. Maybe someone casts Oblivate on him and it doesn't work. Maybe he can do things with his Quickening which could be similar to magic. Dunno. As I said, it's a ghost of a plot-bunny... I've just been musing over it.

And of course all the bunnies listed in this year's finish-a-thon which I haven't worked on either.
