So, kalinda001 has recently been posting her massive PGP epic on b7fic, and I've been downloading it to read later. And reading the summaries as I go, naturally. And I got an idea. Not one that I could write myself, but I think it might appeal to astrogirl2...

It's a pretty popular idea in B7 for Servalan to capture Avon and have her tame psychotechs mess with Avon's mind.

But what if she had a different prisoner? One who is better at manipulation than she is? And yet, with a herd of psychotechs or a psychostrategist, it might be an even contest. Especially with the might of the Federation at her back.

What if she'd captured the Master? (Simm!Master, naturally)

Wouldn't that be deliciously evil?

I adore the idea of putting Servalan and the Master together, but don't necessarily want to write it myself, which is why I've requested that character combo for two different crossover ficathons (and won't be the least bit unhappy if that request gets written for both of them). ;)

Anyway, that would certainly be a really interesting direction to go with those characters. Somebody should, indeed, write it, but I'm still not sure about it being me. :)

I don't think I could write it myself, because I've never written the Master, and I know I don't have a good grasp of Servalan; when I've written her, she's been too much of a Stupid Villain.

Oooh. We shall just have to see if they do. If one of them is dw_cross then it won't have been, though, because I think you and I were the only B7 writers there, and I definitely did not get you as a recipient.

I know! I think we just have to keep passing them around until they take root in somebody's brain. Sadly, though, I'm not super-confident of my ability to write Servalan at any length, either, and manipulativeness is one of the most challenging things to write, IMO. Possibly because I don't have an especially manipulative mind, myself.

Yeah, you're probably right. Ah, well. I've still got a one-in-three shot of getting it for Multiverse. (If and when that finally goes up...)
