Fandom Snowflake Challenge Day 11

In your own space, ask for recs. Something as simple as "I like XYZ (where XYZ is a kink, a pairing, a trope, etc) - please rec me some." Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

Remember that your rec list doesn’t have to be fic if that’s not what you’re looking for. Some of you might be yearning for good vid recs or fanart or fanmixes or meta or... well, you get the picture, right? ;)

I'm always looking for stories featuring psi powers, especially telepathy and/or telempathy. I don't care if the powers are based on magic or science, I just love telepathy. In any of my fandoms, whether telepathy is part of the canon landscape or not. Whether it be a major part of the universe (Tomorrow People, The Omega Factor), a minor part of the universe (Doctor Who, Blake's 7, Harry Potter, Sapphire & Steel, ST:Reboot), mentioned in passing (Stargate, Highlander, Buffy) or not really part of the universe at all (Sentinel, House, Labyrinth).

I am absolutely convinced that I have telepathy fic *somewhere* in my stash, but I haven't the faintest idea of where. And, given that you said specifically no slash, and I read almost exclusively in slash (female and male), I would probably not have anything useful there, unless you are okay with the kind of 'romance' that is of the blink and you miss it type.

Only if I would miss it even without blinking. I mean, there's stuff that's sometimes labelled as "pre-slash" that I don't think is slashy unless one wanted to see it that way, but on the other hand, there's stuff that people think is "blink and you'll miss it" slash which comes across as definitely slashy to me. So I think it depends on the particular story.

I wish I could rec some for you - When it's well done (such as McCaffrey's take on it) it's a wonderful element.

Have you read any stories in this archive?

They are all Sarek/Amanda stories, some of which can be quite explicit and quite a few deal with telepathy.
