Christmas Squee
Dec. 20th, 2011 02:24 pmTHANK YOU to
reynardo for the Christmas card (featuring Severus and Lucius and a ... rhyme) which was delightful. Thank you!
Also, Youngest Niece is staying with me as part of the Family Christmas migration. There was much shuffling around as we discovered there had been a communication breakdown as to who was staying where, but it's all sorted now.
My holiday starts tomorrow.
Plans:
1. Finish reading "A Soldier's Duty" by Jean Johnson.
2. Make my annual pea-and-ham soup from The Christmas Ham (bone). This will require me to soak split peas tonight.
3. Make the Famous Christmas Pudding Ice Cream (see previous entry). This will require me to soak dried fruit tonight (and oat mixture).
4. Wrap presents.
5. Devour 1/4 of a watermelon with Youngest Niece.
6. Play games with Nieflings.
7. Pit cherries. Possibly make cherry ice cream, or chocolate-coated cherries. Or even both. If there are any cherries left. (Nom nom nom cherry nom nom) (no point in resisting fresh cherries when box is right next to me) (better than eating chips)
8. Sort my most recently purchased beads.
9. Do bead crochet and crochet.
10. Sleep.
