Numb3rs: Graphic
Jan. 26th, 2009 03:54 pmI assume this is the episode which people have mentioned as being set (and filmed?) at a convention, yes? Good to see that it wasn't full of "point and stare at these weird people" which could easily have happened.
So Larry and Dave are into comics. Heh.
It was so funny seeing Larry walking through the convention burdened with kitchy things he'd bought, while Charlie appeared to have more sedate things like rolled up posters under his arm.
Am I correct in thinking that the old comics artist was played by the same actor who played Professor Emmett Brown in "Back to the Future"?
At some points I was worried about what the magazine journalist would write about Charlie; he could have done a hatchet job, sure enough. Glad he didn't.
I laughed when the gunman's mother yelled out and attacked the FBI agents with her cane; like mother, like son, apparently.
The plot surprised me by actually having Charlie's hunch be correct; I was expecting there to be a twist proving Seth innocent. Ah well.
"An FBI agent who solves crimes with the help of his mathematician brother? Nobody would believe it." (grin)
"Comics are forever."
"Quantum Avenger"!!!!!!

Date: 2009-01-26 05:46 am (UTC)Yep: Christopher Lloyd. The guy who plays Henry in "Eureka" was in it too. I wonder which con they filmed it at. It looked like a real one to me.

Date: 2009-01-26 11:36 am (UTC)As has also already been mentioned, yes, that was Christopher Lloyd playing the Stan Lee-type character. Also? He was in Taxi with Judd Hirsch back in the day.
This is a really fun ep, with a lot of little understated things.
