Sugar and Spice, not always nice

And I continue the exploration of flavourness in icecream...
Experiment #21: Christmas Spices Optifast ice cream
Recipe: 3 pkts vanilla Optifast milkshake powder, 600ml water, 6 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp cloves, 6 tsp nutmeg, 6 tsp powdered ginger, 18 tsp Splenda granular; mix dry ingredients, then add the water.
Result: Dissappointment. Something is too bitter, maybe it's the cloves. The nutmeg gets lost in the other flavours, which I kind of expected. The ginger leaves too much of a warm-spicy aftertaste. Or maybe it's the ginger and cinnamon combined that do it.
Lessons: A nice idea, but the proportions of the spices need to be adjusted.
