A Picture Paints A Thousand Words, Right?

I haven't been working on my finish-a-thon story. (sigh) Over the past few days I've been distracted and consumingly inspired to do wallpaper related to the story instead. And today I've gone to the hairdresser, had lunch at parents', and been trying to figure out what to pack.

This one is directly inspired:

And this one arose because my earlier versions of the Rose one, I was trying to do something with this symbol of Rassilon, and I decided to just do one with the symbol itself, instead.

Pack for cold, wet, windy weather, and for hot and dry just in case we're lucky. :-(

Sorry, warm, not hot. It was almost summery for a few days a couple of weeks ago but I wouldn't count on that. I'd settle for warm and not raining. Sigh.

Pack for Melbourne, in other words. Layers, layers, layers. Skivvies (aka turtlenecks), blouses, a few t-shirts and one jumper. And a jacket with a hood.

Something rain-proof too, preferably long, as it's often horizontal.

The jacket is rain-proof; that's part of what the hood is for. It's a bit of a trade-off, I think; I could opt for that jacket, which has a plus because of the hood -- if the wind is bad, then a hood is probably more useful than an umbrella, though I'd have to take off my glasses and thus be half-blind in that case. On the other hand, I could bring my trench-coat, which is longer, but doesn't have a hood. Which do you think would be better?

In that case, the less bulky to pack!

Not really, I plan on wearing whichever one I pick. I'm leaning towards the shorter one with the hood, because it also zips up, while the trenchcoat buttons up, and I think a zip would be kind of more secure in strong winds.
