Giles sipped his Scotch, and made a few more annotations to the list while he waited. Willow had made it a lot easier to do this, since she'd hacked into the Coroner's database. She thought he just wanted to keep track of vampires; he didn't tell her what else he needed it for.

He eyed the guitar case propped up against the wall. His fingers itched for a good jam session. But business before pleasure. He nodded as Joe left the bar and came to his table.

"Do you miss the bookstore?" Giles asked impulsively as Joe sat down.

Joe glanced around at the crowded bar and gave a wry smile. "Well, it was a heck of a lot quieter."
