SunnyD Awards Nominee

It's interesting to note that the nominees for "Best Crossover Book" and "Best Crossover Book Pairing" this year are exactly the same. Why does nobody like gen?

Out of the blue, five years after I wrote it, In Truth, Beauty has been nominated in the Sunnydale Memorial Fanfiction Awards (Round 24) in the "Best Crossover (Book)" and "Best Crossover (Book) Pairing" sections. It's very surprising, considering that they link to the A03 version, which has zero kudos, one comment (and my reply) and 66 hits; perhaps they're scraping the bottom of the barrel. Not that I think that my story is bottom-of-the-barrel material, but however fun and delightful a story it is, it isn't exactly popular. So I don't think I have a boggart's chance in a circus of winning, but it was really nice to be nominated. Vote for me anyway! (grin)

The results are mostly in, for the Children of Time Awards; I didn't win anything, but I got runner-up for Doesn't Look Like A Hell Dimension in the Crossover section of the New Who category.

Ones that I am pleased about in the New Who category:
Rose Tyler (winner): "Path of Needles" by TARDIS_stowaway (sorry, [livejournal.com profile] cot_tossed, I actually liked this story)
The Master (winner): "Now We Have A Map of the Stars" by Zauberer Sirin
Alternate Reality (runner up): "Illyria Series" by Tardis_stowaway

Ones that I am pleased about in the Classic Who category:
Alternate Universe/Reality (winner): "Within, The Enemy" by Astrogirl
Crossover (runner up): "Travel Light" by Astrogirl

Edited to add:
Ones that I am pleased about in the Torchwood category:
Gwen Cooper (runner up): "Domestic Goddess" by Doyle_sb4
