I have accomplished crochet!
Using the largest crochet hook I have (19mm) and chunky yarn, this scarf worked up pretty quickly. And it is fluffy and soft...

scarf

It's actually two kinds of yarn which happened to have the same colour schemes; the yarn at the edges is an odd mix of "bobble" yarn and eyelash yarn, while the yarn in the centre is "Chenille" yarn (very soft and furry).

I think I should go back to where I bought this yarn and see if they have any left in a different colour.

Oooh, nice! I've attempted crochet a couple times and couldn't get the hang of keeping the tension even on the various loops, that you can produce something this lovely so quickly is an event worth preening for - I salute you!

The world needs sentient scarves. They could tell us what jacket they look best with.

Sis has promised to teach me... we've just never got round to it yet.

I can knit, and very well, and do blackwork (though the eyes aren't so keen on that these days)

Blackwork embroidery, I got interested through seeing it on historical costumes and did quite a bit of it. Fiddly, but very beautiful.
