It can't be that hard to write one. I've done routines in programs before to do that.

Oh I know it can be done programatically, it's the user interface that would take all the effort. I want something as easy to use as xcalc (or even bc). That would take a while to write, and I don't have the time.

See, I need this for work, because what I'm doing right now is comparing lots of times, to see if our time-credit calculations are correct. Or, I should say, I've already written a program which compares the time-credit calculations, and flags the ones that don't appear to be "correct" (that is, they differ from the value gotten from another data source) and what I have to do is go through and figure out why they differ. And that involves a lot of calculations adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing time-values. So I'm sitting there with xcalc, converting the hours+minutes into minutes, doing the calculation, and then converting them back again. (divide by 60, take away the whole number, multiply by 60... (yawn))

Try typing "16 hours to minutes" into Google and see what happens. :)

Google's unit converter is WAY COOL. You can type in "16 hours minus 45 minutes in minutes," and it will parse it correctly AND give you the correct answer! You could type "10 mm in inches" and get it!
