Summary:Because listing bus stations as something you hate just begs writers to put you there. The Seventh Doctor and Ace join an odd cast of characters in time to get held hostage, and the Doctor remembers why he prefers saving worlds to smaller crises.

This story is very well told. The small cast of supporting characters are painted vividly. They each give us their own unique point of view on the situation, the other characters, and the Doctor himself. That would be good enough, but when the gunmen burst into the bus station it all goes from bleak and dull to bleak and very very dangerous. This isn't a situation where the Doctor is pulling all the strings. Each character reacts differently, some nobly and some ignobly, with fear and courage, suspicion and trust, stupidity and cleverness. The Doctor himself shows the full range of the character of Seven, from the friendly uncle who is good with children, through to the chilling fury of the Oncoming Storm.

Quote: "Do you have any clue who I am? What I am? You have no idea what I'm capable of. I have no idea what I'm capable of, except that I've yet to reach my limits, and if you had any inkling of what I've done in just this lifetime, that would make you quake."

So... what do you think?
