Summary:Hermione wakes up after the final battle paralyzed in the infirmary. She has been cursed by Voldemort, and Snape is the only one who can save her. Strange as that may be, the truth is much stranger.
The first thing I like about this story is that it strongly features Legilimency/telepathy. The second is that between Severus and Hermione there is mutual gratitude and respect which develops into trust, faithfulness, self-sacrifice and love.
A twist in this story is that Legilimency is considered to be a Dark Art rather than a rare but neutral ability. That adds some interesting complications.
Warning: Ron is, alas, a prat.
