Friends meme
Nov. 12th, 2004 02:45 pmGacked from a couple of you.
ETA: I have changed #4. Take note.
ETA: I have changed #11. Take note.
a. Choose 15 people from your friends list at random.
b. Write something about/to each of them.
c. Don't tell anyone who the statements are about. Good or bad. No matter how they beg!
d. But please do try to guess. That's what makes this fun!
Since there are 17 in the list of mutual Friends, and one of them is the same person twice, I decided to do everyone. (But I have mixed up the order, never fear)
- You make me think of your favourite character.
- Elf.
- Biographer of a thief.
- I didn't realize who you were on LJ until someone told me.
- Crossovers. Geek.
- Beginnings.
- Beaurocracy and foodstuffs, ah, the misfortune!
- Good taste in icons and encouragement.
- Your prose is like diamonds.
- You're blunt and to the point and don't suffer fools -- and have a hobby I knew nothing about.
- We may have different
interests andworld-views, but you stood by me when I needed friends and I will never forget it. - Our first meeting was ironicly fannish, and blossomed so much since then.
- Our meeting was also ironicly fannish. And it isn't the size, it's the energy.
- Our meeting was a very squee-ish occassion.
- Who is that masked man? You know.
- You often say what I'm thinking.

Date: 2004-11-12 09:00 am (UTC)Hm.
1. I doubt I remind you of Methos. :)
2. Not me.
4. Possibly? I didn't know who you were on LJ until I started wondering who this person was who was posting comments that made so much sense to
(5.)
6. Maybe? Most likely? Due to my having just gotten married?
7. Nope
8. This has got to be
9. I wish, but I doubt it. :)
11. Nope
12. Our first meeting was fannish, but not particularly ironically so, so no.
16. No...I doubt it.
So: my guess is either 4 or 6. Am I anywhere close?
This is a great meme, guaranteed to spark a lot of conversation. Everyone wants to know what other people think of them. :)

Date: 2004-11-12 09:36 am (UTC)Yes, you don't remind me of Methos. 8-)
Yes, you are not the Elf.
No, you are not #4 (golly, that one has trawled in a lot of false positives!) Before you got married, your LJ pointed to your fic, so I was able to figure out who you were (I checked it just now -- did you realize that link was broken?).
synaesthete7's blog -- I could say the same of you.
...until I started wondering who this person was who was posting comments that made so much sense to
Yes, you are not #5, though I agree that
mommie_geek is not the only person around here interested in crossovers.
No, you are not #6 either.
And, yes, you are not #9, as you surmised. Though I am surrounded by talented people, there's one particular person whose work I find dauntingly brilliant.
And, no, you aren't #12, because we haven't actually met face to face.

Date: 2004-11-12 02:53 pm (UTC)1. Kerr Avon? That's a possibility... More like the one I'd like it to be though...
2. Nope.
4. This can't be right. You befriended me almost immediately after I arrived on LJ. (
(5. I thought you were the expert on crossovers.)
6. Nope.
8. This would be
9. My prose is more like coal.
11. Actually, we have pretty similar interests...
12. I wouldn't describe our first meeting as fannish, although there was a lot of talk about Blake's 7.
16. Nope.
7 is the intriguing one. I used to work for the government for some years but left about 6 years back. As a result, I can spell "Bureaucracy" :) Getting retrenched meant payouts and pay rises.
My guess is 7.
