Well, I rang my friend Johnathan last night, and had a sensible, cheering and interesting conversation about offices, Harry Potter, Diana Wynne Jones, fanfic, forgiveness, honour, grace and open-mindedness. The office shall be looked at with positive eyes, and I shall try to make Kat's corner a welcoming spot.

And I stayed up far too late starting to read the HP fic that Johnathan recommended -- another one byMariner, she of the Polka-Dot Plague; this one is a crossover with Buffy, set back in the time of the first rise of Voldemort, and featuring Rupert Giles and Ethan Rayne. It seems fairly cool so far, capturing the Buffy characters just right, de-aging the HP characters, and mixing the universes plausibly.
