To my HLShortCutter
Oct. 1st, 2009 09:49 pmTo whom it may be who is writing my
hlh_shortcuts story:
I'm fine with whatever you choose to write, I just really like friendship and redemption stuff. And, yes, I'm really fond of Methos, but I like all the main characters, I like Methos interacting with the main characters -- did I mention I like friendship?
What I meant by Methos!Sue is stories where Methos is written as if he's a Mary-Sue character -- too good to be true, some sort of superman -- I mean, yes, he's brilliant, but that doesn't mean that one has to put down the other characters in order to show how brilliant he is. Nor does it mean that one has to make him a Wizard, or a Time Lord, or some other extra-special thing to make him even specialler. Being the oldest Immortal is special enough.
If you feel the need for more suggestions on the content of the story, here are some suggestions.
1. If you can cross with HP, I'd like to see Methos and Snape being snarky and sneaky. Bonus points for some discussion about turning away from evil.
2. Non-crossover (or Doctor Who) idea: far-future on an alien planet.
