More Wot I Did

I did stuff today. And actually managed to do some listed stuff.
What I did Today
* slept in
* mucked about on computer; reading journals, altering settings, also got sucked into playing with evolvotron
* read a bit more of "Reading the Signs"
* played with evolvotron some more (the time-consuming bit isn't making new fractals, it's choosing which ones to keep)
* finished making the salsa I started yesterday, used it in lunch, which I ate while I...
* Watched the Tomorrow People adventure "The Heart of Sogguth"
* Got curious about what Mock Cream is made of; looked up a few recipes on the net. It appears to be similar to butter icing; the main difference seems to be the presence of water as well as sugar in the recipe. Different recipes do things slightly differently, some dissolve the sugar in the water first, while others blend the sugar with the butter and add the water at the end. And there is much beating in order to aerate the substance. Some recipes add cornflour as well.
* 5pm - 6:30pm: wrote 350 words more on my
help_haiti story (whew!)
* Looked in on the
help_chile comm, trawled through all the English fanfic offers, looked up likely authors, read a few of their stories, and made five bids.
* changed the layout on my LJ again after I found the current one confusing (the names weren't under people's icons in my friends-reading page). Made the colourscheme very similar to my Dreamwidth journal (using the same background images).
