Prepare for a barrage of old fic posts

It has been pointed out that much of the fic on my site doesn't have an actual place to make comments on it. Since I don't have my site set up for comments, it has been my practice to link to LJ posts for the said stories, but I just realized that stories written before I had set up that policy don't actually have posts for them. So very soon I'm going to be spamming my flist with placeholder comment posts for older fic, so please excuse me.
ETA: Okay, it looks like one can set a post not to display on reading pages, so I'll do that - but be prepared for mistakes; it you see suddenly appearing and disappearing posts, that will be why.

Date: 2009-11-28 10:35 am (UTC)On Dreamwidth, the set up is similar, but more informative:
click on "Edit date", and tick the ticky box which says "Don't show on Reading Pages (allows dating out of order)".
If you're cross-posting, then the Dreamwidth settings will be set for LJ also.
When that setting is on, then the post will still display in one's "Recent entries" page, but won't display on people's "friends"/"reading" pages.
