kerravonsen: Three camels with riders: WISE MEN still seek Him (wise-men-seek-him)

The Christmas wishlist meme has come around again!

Step One
  • Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
  • If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
  • Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two
  • Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
  • If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
    • You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
    • There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

My wishes:

1) Art: cover art/title banners for my fic.

2) Vid: (Doctor Who) "Live and Let Die" - the Doctor and the Daleks.
When you were young, and your heart was an open book
You used to say 'live and let live'
But if this ever-changing world in which we live in
Makes you give in and cry
Say 'live and let die'.

3) Fic: Snape reconciliation/mentorship/friendship fic, where the other person in the relationship is either Harry or Hermione. Probably AU (I prefer my Snape alive). If writing with Hermione, I'm happy for it to be romance too, but the friendship must come first. Bonus points for legilimancy.

4) Fic: more Cally-and-the-Doctor fic.

5) Fic: Write a story matching one of the fannish pictures in my digital art gallery. Even if a story has been written already -- different people have different takes.

6) Fic: Sentinel/Unbreakable crossover (I'm referring to the movie "Unbreakable" which starred Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson)
What if Elijah Price was transferred to the same insane asylum as Alex Barnes (aka Alicia Bannister), he helped her regain her sanity, be her Guide, and they escaped together?
From his point of view, he's the mastermind, she's the super-hench-villain. It's not like she won't take direction, not if she's grateful. She may even buy into his theory (or pretend to). Sentinels would fit just as well as David did.

7) Fic: sequels to stories you wrote that I liked. Yes, you. You know who you are.

8) Reviews of my fic (whether that be on my site, on fanfiction.net or on AO3.
(Note that not all my fic is up yet on ffn or AO3, but I do intend to put more up soon)

9) Ideas/designs for tiny macrame projects. I've been making macrame bookmarks for a while, but I'd like to branch out into other things like necklaces or other pretty/useful stuff. They need to be tiny, so I can do them on the bus, and finish them quickly. Otherwise they will never get finished. (Somewhere in my cupboard is an unfinished macrame bag... which I started when I was still a teenager)

10) Phone calls from people on my flist, especially those who have not called before.

I couldn't find a place to write reviews for stories on your site... No obvious link at the end of the story.

Argh, we have still not spoken on the phone! I would love to do that this year...but the international calling is still kind of steep. Um. You're not on Skype by any chance?
