Bones: The Woman in Limbo
Jun. 7th, 2009 10:59 pmOh my goodness! Oh my goodness!
Interesting how, for the first time, the episode title has a double meaning.
A double meaning because not only do we have the "woman in limbo" of the skull which turns out to be Brennan's mother, but we have Brennan herself, because she finds herself in limbo because who she thought she was... isn't who she thought she was. I knew Brennan would find her parents eventually, that being set up by earlier episodes; but I certainly wasn't expecting anything like that.
The way that her team rallied round and decided they wouldn't go home until they solved it, oh, I love those guys.
Oh, that scene in the barn, where Brennan keeps on repeating "I am Dr. Temperance Brennan" with tears running down her face; oh wow.
And Brennan's confrontation with the killer-guy: "I found out what happened to my mother, I'll find out what happened to my father!"
But it was well-played; she had to think about it before refusing him. And that guy... oh, he's a slimy piece of work.
And I loved how Temperance was reconciled with her brother. And how, after all that rejection, Russ was still willing to hold out his hand to her.
"Marco."
"Polo."
Awesome.
But it's a cliffhanger! Arrrgh!
