Bones: Two Bodies in the Lab
May. 31st, 2009 07:16 pmMore Bones. This time the mysteries were less forensic and more psychological.
I must admit, I was expecting David (the online chat guy) to turn out to be a psycho, because that's the usual interpretation in TV-land, and he always rang up just before an assassination attempt, as if to make sure that Brennan was where she was supposed to be. But that was just a red herring. I also wondered if the gang boss that Booth had threatened a couple of episodes ago had changed his mind. Though Brennan was right, there must be a lot of criminals who want her dead.
The other FBI agent, he was played by someone from Firefly, wasn't he?
In retrospect, it seems clear that he was pumping Brennan for information. And when you think about it, the modus operandi for the assassination attempts -- gun, bomb -- are much more consistent with mob violence anyway.
I loved the bit at Brennan's apartment, when Brennan and Booth were both dancing to "Hot Blooded" - I mean, they were goofing around, and that was just fun. Friendship-fun.
So Booth is a heroic hero, who survived torture in the Middle East...
I expect we are never going to see David again. He was too much of a non-entity, he felt too much like a one-off character.
