And some more Pretender (sniffle)
The A-Story was pretty lacklustre here, though I did like Millie, this episode's eccentric character.
Oh, the fun of Miss Parker being locked up! Ha!
It's interesting that there appears to be times when Jarod has remained undetected for weeks - at least judging by many of the "and this is what he was doing just before you got here" scenes that open an episode.
And yet this time he had to go to elaborate precautions to hamstring Miss Parker, because the Center would be on it as soon as the picture hit the net.
Poor Broots, designated by the IT crowd as "the person who gets to talk to Miss Parker".
"So near and yet so far."
Arrrgggh! That was the closest yet.
There's a bit of logic-disconnect, though. Sure, the whoever-it-is in the Center is justifiably paranoid, but wouldn't a special courier be even more traceable than phone or net? If one is clever enough with phone and net, that is. Yes, I know the plot required it to be set up that way in order for Jarod to fail to get the information but... illogic irritates me.
"South."
"What makes you so sure?"
"Instinct."
(cut to Jarod as a Royal Mountie)
Bwa-ha-ha!
Is this the only time we see Jarod outside the USA?

no subject
Date: 2008-12-09 07:03 am (UTC)I think he mentions trips outside the US once or twice that I've seen, but that may be the only time we actually see it (again, as far as I've seen).
