CPAP diary

Last night I called the CPAP man, as instructed. He said that the red marks and backache should pass once I get used to the system. Also talked to my Mum, and she suggested a couple of exersizes I could do for my back.

Last night's sleep: I think there was sleep-interruptus from head-movement, but I'm not sure. The only time I'm really sure of, I was sufficiently awake to try moving from my back to my side, I decided I was sufficiently awake to put my watch on and check the time -- and the time was 5:54, so I decided that was sufficiently late to get up. I didn't see much point in lying there half-asleep for only an hour. Because I went to bed post-11pm (darned losing track of time on computer) then I have had something less than 7 hours sleep, more like 6. This is however theoretically enough to hold body and soul together, and better than the nine-hours-interrupted-41-times-an-hour without CPAP.

Sore back, sore face. Dryish mouth. I think there was a certain amount of coughing last night. Also slightly sore-ish eyes. Not sure about them -- sore eyes is supposed to be a sign of mask-leakage at bridge-of-nose, but bridge-of-nose seems to be the least leaky part of my mask.

Vaguely remember dreaming Smallville/Buffy crossover bits, about mutant-monsters. Probably due to reading all of LastScorpion's "double date" series yesterday.

At least it sounds as if you're getting something out of it. With any luck things will improve as you get used to it.

I'll try to get to the electronics shop in the next couple of days - it's been very hot here, so cycling that far may not be an experience I really want until it's cooled down again. :-) Any preferences on a US-to-UK or US-to-several-countries? The latter are useful if you travel to several countries, but tend to be bulkier and more fragile.
