Love the ending. Yes, they compliment each other well, and I'd love to read crossovers dealing with interactions between them. Supperating sores not withstanding, this was a sweet piece.

I think the story goes ... she was something like 16 when he was in Texas for his electrician's apprenticeship, and he came home once or twice for dinner with her dad because they were on the same job? So they'd met, but barely knew each other. Family liked him though, so despite the age gap they were ok with her writing letters to him when he went back to Cali for family reasons. He was gone for ... months, I can't remember, maybe a little more than a year. The letters gradually got more and more lengthy and more and more frequent. By the time he came back, they were very serious about each other; they got married the same week she graduated highschool at not quite 18. :)
