kerravonsen: Kerr Avon, frowning: Character is PLOT (character-is-plot)

Things come and things go. I have decided to release my [livejournal.com profile] crossovers100 claim, because it wasn't really helping me write more fic, and I was just feeling guilty about it. Whew! It will take a little while for it to sink in, I think; I'm too used to it being a weight on my back.

In other news, as expected, the finish-a-thon results declare that I am to spend the next two months writing my Donna fix-it story. Ah, well, it should be a challenge...

I think it's the only one I voted for that won!

The back of my mind keeps telling me the solution's in the Library and her previous forgetting-and-remembering, but it hasn't told me what it is. I don't think I've read any fix-it fic, though, so maybe that's been explored already.

I think it's something to do with... the loss of the children being the most traumatic thing that happened, and at the same time that AU within CAL being very 21st-century suburban Earth and not involving the Doctor. So I think it's possible Donna dreams about that without blowing her mind. But it's not a solution, unless there's something one can do with data ghosts, or the version of Donna saved by CAL, and I don't know how Donna could get anywhere near the Library on her own, unless River (who knows of her predicament) comes up with a way to get out.

The trouble with Donna's predicament, though, is that I keep crashing into "how is this different from Rose absorbing the Tardis?" Because we know the Doctor could fix that, even if it cost him a regeneration, without damage or significant loss of memory to Rose, and I can't really believe the Doctor wouldn't make the same sacrifice for Donna.

I hope you have fun with writing your story.

Not having any plot bunnies myself (I think I must have the mental equivalent of myxamatosis), I'm not participating in the Finish-a-thon but, given that I'm sure that I'll enjoy many of the stories that come out of it, I'd like to thank you for all the work that you've put into organising it.
