Patchwork progress (ArtMonth 8)

I sewed some more pieces together, and joined two clumps into a larger one. Right now I have three clumps; two large ones and one smaller one. I've decided to stop now because my back aches and I'm finding it hard to decide which bits to go with which other bits (yes, there is some sort of method to my madness, I'm trying to... avoid imbalance).

Hello? Is anybody out there? Should I f-lock this? Am I boring you?

It sounds like this project is more of a chore than a joy for you, at this stage of the process. How big are the patches? I'm imagining roughly 3-4 inches.

It's a chore because I'm blue and everything is a chore. I'm more looking forward to the finished product than the actual process, but it's good to be doing it too because it's something that I can do that doesn't take a lot of brainpower, and something that I can feel sort of accomplished at when I'm feeling blue and don't feel like doing anything.

No, the patches are bigger than that, though some are smaller. It's crazy-patchwork, and the way I do that means that it's very very irregular. I'm trying to avoid right-angles when I can.

Oh ... I know a bit about blue. Although lately, I'm doing pretty well.

I haven't done a lot of crazy patchwork. I did start a background for applique:

But I don't know if it is really crazy patchwork in the true sense, as I took a piece of lightweight interfacing, slashed it into 3 sections (only two are finished), then slashed these into smaller sections and randomly foundation peiced roughly cut bits to cover it. Here is a piccie of the back ... It might be easier to visualise.

When I can get myself started, patchwork isn't too bad, as I can put the telly on, and fiddle around without too much effort. You're doing really well to get something done everyday!

I'd like to see pictures too. I think thetisonline is right that today it sounds less joyful, perhaps time to rest your eyes and back for one day? Have a photo-taking day instead?

I'm of two minds about photos. One is that yes, it would be nice for you to see photos; the other is that taking photos and putting them online takes work to do, work that wouldn't be spent patchworking!

But if doing it instead is okay, maybe that is what I will do tomorrow.
