Patchwork progress (ArtMonth 3)
Aug. 3rd, 2008 07:18 pmI am so tired and my back aches, but I guess that's because I did a lot, though it doesn't feel like it.
While listening to two whole DW audio plays, this is what I did:
* cut out all the pattern pieces (jacket and trousers, though I'm intending on just the jacket)
* ironed the tissue flat, folded them up and put them in a large envelope (larger than what they came in)
* ironed many small green scraps
* found the last remaining bit of the patchwork left over from my jerkin, and used that as a starting point; sewed on two pieces, ironing the seams flat after each piece
* ironed a very crushed large navy blue piece
* trimmed one edge of the patchwork in preparation for the next piece, but decided to stop there

Date: 2008-08-04 12:40 am (UTC)I just looked up crazy quilting on wikipedia, and it looks as if I'm not quite doing that, since I'm not sewing patches onto a base, I'm just sewing them together. Oh well. Either that or the article is incomplete, which is just as likely.
