Patchwork progress (ArtMonth 1)
Aug. 1st, 2008 09:32 pmI had intended to cut out the pattern tonight, but what I ended up doing instead was
(a) moving the ironing board and iron into the study/sewing room
(b) finding three boxes, and going through my cloth scraps and remnants for green, blue and purple, and putting them in the three boxes. Plus a bag for variegated blue/green/purple bits.
During this, I found a remnant that looked as if it had mildew on it (ugh) so I put that aside to be washed tomorrow. Fortunately, the cloth it was next to seemed fine, so I'm a bit puzzled how it got like that.
Surprising how much effort and energy all that took. Zzzz.

Date: 2008-08-02 02:16 am (UTC)Do you have a pattern to work to, or are you making up your own? I'd love to see pics of your progress.

Then when I have all the pattern-pieces, I'll sew them together to make the jacket. I'll probably need to buy extra cloth for a lining; I don't think the original pattern has one.
