Finishing fic

ficfinishing is what it says on the tin: a comm to help and encourage people to finish their unfinished stories. Which is a Good Thing. I haven't actually joined myself (yet) because they encourage people to only join if they're going to sign up for finishing something (or beta-reading it) and I haven't decided whether now is the time to do that yet.

Because the finish-a-thon is coming up. Yes, I am doing it again. As with the last couple of years, sign-ups in August, due at the end of October. So start thinking about signing up, Y/Y?

Hmm. Not sure what to throw in this time, as I think a lot of the non-winning story possibilities from previous finish-a-thons are things I've mostly lost interest in... Will have to give it some thought!

Do you think I should make the sign-ups longer, like three weeks or something? That would give people more time to ponder.

I dunno. Three weeks seems kind of long, actually. If one can't come up with a list in a week or two, I don't think that third one is going to make all that much difference. :) Others may feel differently, though.

The Finish-a-thon is going to be a reward for me--I have to get this script out by the start of August, and then I shall allow myself to try and finish one of my fics. (I'm only putting 4 in, this time, and I already know what they are.)
