Date: 2008-05-15 10:18 am (UTC)As to why he'd bother commenting on something old - that doesn't seem to odd to me, esp. for someone new to LJ. I kind of wish the culture were such that conversations happened over weeks/months, not hours, because of my schedule and how my brain works.
I've got to groan at the commenter, though... The subject *is* something I find interesting to discuss with people, but usually it helps to know something about who I'm talking to, because we do bring so much of ourselves into discussions about morality. But that's not the beginning and end of it.

I think if he was actually bringing something new to the discussion I'd be more interested in replying; as it is, he just seems to be regurgitating what Manuel Smith said, and then complaining about hypocritical Christians. Albeit, not actually rude, but not particularly friendly, either.
