Bright!

Well, I was mistaken; I'm here in Bright and I do have net access! (waves at everyone)

The Alpine Cabins, where we are staying, have free wireless access, though the signal area is very small, just inside or next to the Reception building, so I am sitting just outside with my mini-laptop on a wobbly table, in the shady sunshine.

We (J + family + me) drove up yesterday, though J got lost, which meant we were about an hour late. Oh well.
The cabins are very compact and thin-walled, but fine.

This morning we went to the local market, and I ended up buying some handmade soap, and roasted sunflower seeds, and some large semi-precious stone beads. And we had some Dutch Pancakes.

The weather is quite cool and crisp in the morning, but mow that it's about noon, it is quite warm and I have divested myself of jacket and skivvy, now wearing a T-shirt. (A new T-shirt, actually, a lovely dragon I got through Amazon)

And I just heard a whip-bird! Ah, that brings back childhood memories!

What colour are your beads? I have yet to decide what I'm doing with the ones we bought at the market here.

I got six large beads, from a container of assorted ones, so you had to search through them. Three of them were rectangular, a mixture of purple and clear (she said they were fluorite) about 1.5cm x 2.5cm big. The other three were oval, about the same size, and black. I think it will be easier to figure out what to do with the black ones than the purple ones.

Ooh, they sound nice! If there are only three fluorite ones, you could space them on tiger-tail with maybe a small bead between them. :-)

True. I'll have to ponder about that, since they are very flat, which means they'd be inclined to flip over, since the hole is right through the middle. I'll have to see what other beads I have to go with them.
