I've been looking at Doctor Who vids on YouTube, and getting utterly sick of Doctor/Rose ones, especially post-Doomsday angst ones. So this one came as a breath of fresh air, demonstrating that, no, Rose isn't the only one the Doctor has had to say farewell to.

Oh, man, that is beautiful. And actually kind of made me cry, sap that I am.

You have actually inspired me to make a vlog that I've been thinking about doing for some time. I'll post it here once I record/edit it.

I wrote to Aaron Williams once and asked him if he would draw a portrait of him so I could get it tattooed but he "doesn't take unsolicited offers"

It really does put things into perspective - though I wish they'd used a different clip of Donna, instead of referring back to Rose.

Ah well. Many a scene in this brought a tear to my eye the first time round.

I find it a bit odd they left some out: Romana, for example, got a goodbye scene, but it wasn't in here - as did Peri. They left out a lot of One and Two's goodbyes - but there's good reasons for that.

In the comments on the YouTube page, the vidder says the lack of Romana was because there was too much background music in the scene for it to work. A great pity, IMO.

[Mutters about annoyingly intrusive background music and takes Murray Gold's name in vain, even if he can't be blamed for this in 1981]

OH, of course. That's fair. (Mind bogglingly complete as it is, actually, when it comes down to it.)

I always thought he was most cut up about Jo. I'm not particularly fond of her Doctor, but it's occurred to me a couple of times recently that I'd like a Jo icon.
