I realize that other people have been answering questions as well as posting lists of fic, so, to continue from my list of fic (21 stories, including drabbles), I shall answer some questions (grabbed and mutated from [livejournal.com profile] astrogirl2)

My favorite story this year (of my own):

I think "Galloping", because it Just Works.

My best story this year:

"Beyond the End of Time" because, even if it didn't have lots of reviews, it was appreciated as being poetic by people who weren't even familiar with the fandom. So I think that makes it the best.

The one I think the largest number of people liked was "Two to Make Peace".

Story most tragically underappreciated by the universe, in my opinion:

It's too hard to pick! I mean, so what if only one person liked "A Million Stars" -- it was the person it was written for, so that was most important.

Likewise, "Too Too Solid Flesh" was only liked by one person, but they liked it a lot.

So how can I figure?

Most overrated story, in my opinion:

"By Any Other Name", because I think it needs a complete rewrite!

Most fun story:

"Galloping", for the snark. Or "Biting Off More Then You Can Chew" simply because it was amusing.

Most sexy story:

Sexy? Maybe that question should be "which story of yours might possibly be called 'het'?"

"Token of Affection", I guess. I mean, that's the only one where there's a clear and obvious "ship" in it.

Most friendshippy story:

"Making Connections" (very intentionally friendshippy)

"Holy crap, that's wrong, even for me" story:

Sorry, I must be terribly conventional. Unless you count my continuing to write Snape/Anya. 8-P

Story that shifted my own perception of the characters:

"Frozen" helped me figure out what was going through the Doctor's mind in "Utopia"; not sure whether that was a "shift in perception", though.
"Beyond the End of Time" was certainly a different view of the Doctor.

Hardest story to write:

"Making Connections" -- I was really considering bailing out of RemixRedux, because there was no way I could ever write a slash story, and the story I was supposed to remix was slash. Fortunately, I was able to figure out a way, by setting it early in the slash story, before anything slashy actually happened, so I could think of it as gen while others could think of it as pre-slash. But that's the last RemixRedux I'm going to do.

Other hard ones were "Two to Make Peace" and "By Any Other Name" (and I'm still not satisfied with "By Any Other Name". With "Two to Make Peace", it was really hard to come up with a plot that didn't have the Doctor taking over.

Worst story:

"Conflicting Paradigms"; it seemed rather forced and clunky to me.

Easiest story to write:

"Biting Off More Than You Can Chew" -- once I got the idea, it kinda wrote itself.

Story I'd like to revise (but probably won't):

"By Any Other Name", and I am going to revise it, now that I've figured out the new backstory. Though I think I need to actually write down the new backstory as a story first, so that I'll be forced to figure out the details (and because that may be the only way that the whole backstory is known, since the principals in the backstory no longer remember what happened...)

Story I wish I'd finished:

Story I wish I'd been able to even think of an idea for: the [livejournal.com profile] hlh_shortcuts story. I hope it gets run again next this year.

Story I didn't write but swear I will, someday:

Cally and the Doctor's first adventure together.

Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted?

I'm not sure. I wrote a lot more Buffy fic than I expected, because I was motivated by the [livejournal.com profile] tthdrabbles birthday-fest challenge.

What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January 2007?

Remixing a slash story, that I definitely never predicted!

Did you take any writing risks this year? (See above for unexpected pairings, etc.) What did you learn from them?

"Beyond the End of Time" was a writing-style I'd never tried before. (is sad that "structuralism" is gone)

Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the New Year?

See this post. Plus participate in [livejournal.com profile] hlh_shortcuts if it happens again.
