Oh dear. How long have you been waiting now? Since you got back from NZ?

This is getting ridiculous. *wishes I could hand you a gun*
Much more helpful than a hug at this point. At least, a more satisfying idea.

Aaarrggghhhh!

I'm so glad that when it's time for me to get a new computer, I can just buy a few parts in a store and build it myself. No couriers for me! If I lived anywhere near you, I'd fix your computer for you. {{hugs}}

Strange, I didn't know that was possible. Did you get the right kind of memory? When I upgrade my computer, I make sure I know what's already in it, so the new stuff will fit. All memory modules must usually have the same speed, or strange things can happen.

Also, with memory and the CPU, you have to be careful about static electricity when you put it in. Touch the computer with your hand before you let either of those touch the computer and make sure you keep physical contact with the computer while you're doing it. But static electricity during the installation would only fry the memory or the CPU, not the motherboard.

When I built my current computer, I did have a problem: the CPU ran only at half speed. Turned out that one of the two memory modules was faulty. Luckily the store gave me a new one.
