Aotearoa day 8 (cont) and day 9

After we got home with loot, and posted about loot, um... I forget. But we went out for dinner to Bar Comida; more yummy food (Spanish Tapas and Sticky Date Pudding with Toffee Sauce, and I tasted a bit of the yummy apple tart too). Then we watched "Office Space", which unfortunately reminded me of bad things at work when I was trying to sleep. 8-(

Day 9.
Roesti for breakfast, cooked by Greg. Yum. And some more Hubbards cereal. (no more Hubbards. (frown))
Leisurely stuff. LJ and laptop and reading and cats.

Then we went to North Head (and the Disappearing Gun) and scenic views of Auckland and surrounds. And photo-taking. And magnificent trees. Beautiful weather; lots of blue, sunshine, fluffy clouds, a bit of a breeze. I actually got too hot.
Then lunch at McHughs -- nice buffet lunch, a variety of things, very tempting to eat too much.

Back home, and finally got vilakins to show me how to do a spaced necklace, with the beads I bought earlier in the week. (At some point, said necklace will be put in my gallery, yes).
And then I packed, well, mostly.

Swiss potato pancake thingy, yes. Rather like a latke, but with no egg or flour. :-)
