Aotearoa day 7

kerravonsenYesterday. Leisurely morning. Lunch at Mission Bay, a place called the Reef Bar (nice Thai food). It was a lovely sunny day. Then we got ice creams and sat on a bench under a tree, looking out at the beach and the bay. There was a kite caught in the tree we were sitting under, but we didn't notice it at first. Took some photos. Lazed, talking (and eating our ice creams).
When we'd finished our ice cream, we walked a bit further down the walkway to investigate some activity further down the beach. Turned out they were filming a telecom commercial, featuring a tanned blonde in a bikini, and a green parrot puppet.
It was about 4pm by the time we headed back.
Then I spent time reading (still on "City of Diamond") and reading my flist (people were posting a lot of fic yesterday!). Then dinner, which was mostly accumulated (delicious) leftovers and yummy bread.
Then we watched Sarah Jane Adventures ("The Eye of the Gorgon" part 1 and 2). This is the second time in New Who we've had Ungodly Catholic Orders protecting Ancient Alien Evil (the last time it was Ninja Monks in "Tooth And Claw"). I hope they don't do it again, the idea is getting old.
