Well, well, the
remixredux stories are up! Is it irony or merely the connectedness of all things that made both the story of mine that was remixed, and the story that I remixed not only be in the same fandom (a fandom for which I had written only one story) but also be concentrating on the same character? Well, I guess its ironic more because I've only written one story in that fandom and also because it was the last story I wrote before I signed up for the remix as well! But it makes me wonder if the person who remixed my story was in fact the same person I remixed a story for. We shall find out in due time. Anyway, it's fun and exciting to see them.
I have also got my assignment for the
multiverse2004 ficathon. Oh boy. It's certainly a challenge. Of the three choices, the first is of characters I'd love to write for, if only it wasn't slash; the second is for two fandoms I'm not that familiar with, though I suppose I could do it if I brushed up on them, for the idea is... strangely fascinating. And the third is also stuff I'd have to brush up on, and again, strangely fascinating. I mean, just for the unusualness of it, this character with that character. Ah, a challenge, a challenge, this could be fun.

Date: 2004-05-16 05:26 am (UTC)I had a nice chat with my friend Johnathan tonight, in part of which we touched on my choices for the ficathon, and we agreed that choice number two actually has the best potential, well, the best fun potential, simply because of which two universes are involved. He suggested that I sit down and watch a few hours of universe #1, and write up some reports in the style of universe #2, just to get into the feel of it, and I think that's a very good idea. Even if I didn't use them in the story, they'd be fun to do.
Ironically, choice #2 is actually for two universes that I didn't say I could write for, but I'm familiar enough with them to see the potential and be willing to marathon myself up to ficable standard (and I do have a reasonable number of episodes of them, so I can do some immersion "research", given sufficient time).
