Torchwood 1x9 "Random Shoes"

That wasn't bad. Yeah, I've decided I have to catch up on Torchwood if I can, considering that Jack is back next week. I think Torchwood can be really uneven... and I suspect my standards for it have lowered: I don't expect it to be good any more. So I was kind of relieved that this episode wasn't bad.

Eugene was kinda sweet. The sweet, annoying socially inept kind of person that one wishes would just go away.
Am I noticing a pattern, or are there a lot of helpless geeks turning up? Well, I guess I'm more aware of cuz of watching this back to back with "Blink".
I didn't pay any attention to who wrote it.

Funny, that's not the first time that Torchwood has had a "beyond death" thing.

I didn't really like this episode that much. I much prefferred 'Captain Jack Harkness'.
Your right about the standards being lowered. I thought Torchwood would be more action-packed and addictive. oh well. at least we still have Doctor Who.

Torchwood mandate: Action is for teenagers. Adults are only interested in sex.

(Hmmmm, I thought that was the other way around...?)

Yeah the show does seem to focus heavily on their sex lives. It gets a bit annoying after a while

I disliked this episode, because the message I was left with was "You know that girl you've always fantasised about? She'd really, really like you if she just got a chance to spend the whole day focused on you. So keep up the stalking, oh, and why don't you spend the night in her bedroom watching her when she doesn't know about it?"

I didn't get that impression of it at all, but I can see how it could come across like that.

I guess the thing I liked about it was how he saved her life.
