Heroes #21 "The Hard Part"
Jun. 4th, 2007 08:16 pmAieee!
So it looks as if the timetable has changed, due to the things done already trying to change the future.
I'm glad that people are finally acknowledging that it could be Ted, Peter OR Sylar who explodes.
Oh my, the whole thing with Gabriel and his mother... and those words, which she intended as encouragement "you can do anything if you really want to" are instead a curse, because it is a demand that he be Special, and that a life of quiet excellence (and let's face it, Gabriel was an excellent watchmaker) isn't good enough.
But how totally creepy that he was making a painting with his mother's blood -- ugh!
But yay for Hiro in his non-ruthlessness. It's really interesting to compare him to Peter in that -- mind you, Peter is ruthless with his own life; this is the second time that Peter has been utterly serious in being willing to lay down his life for others. (hugs Peter)
(boggles at Mrs. Petrelli) Are you insane, woman?
I spit on all those in this who have been corrupted by their delusions of the end justifying the means: Linderman, and all those who work for him and with him. Even Sylar was appalled by the destruction of New York.
I wonder if Claire is going to shoot Peter? We still have two episodes to go.
And the terrible irony that the "Walker System" is, in fact, a little girl. I don't think HRG knows that. Does he?
The interconnectedness of all these people is incredible. It deserves to have a directed graph made for it...
(later)
In fact, I've gone and made a graph anyway!

Date: 2007-06-04 08:41 pm (UTC)Yes, Sylar's mother had a chance to say that she loved him unconditionally, but sadly she didn't.
I think the ep's called 'The Hard Part' BTW. :-)

Date: 2007-06-05 03:56 am (UTC)Ah, thought I had that there. Oh well.
And Sylar's motivation is inconsistent, it bugs me.
What, that he didn't want to blow up New York?
