Structuralism

Fan writers! Feel like you're stuck in a rut? Find you always write the same way, in the same style? Fear not, structuralism is here! It's a writing-challenge community, but instead of the challenges being fandom based or theme based, they're style-based. That is, each challenge is to write a piece in a particular style; the rest is up to you, write in whatever fandom you want, with whatever characters, plot, so on. It's been in existence for a couple of weeks already, but I only discovered it yesterday. I've joined the comm, but I probably won't actually participate until my current rash of ficathons is over.

I noticed that one a while ago and thought about joining, but after a fair amount of pondering, I realized that it's not structure I get into ruts with. :)

This is very interesting, since I've been deliberately trying to at least consider various possible styles for each story lately. I shall go and check it out.
