I didn't expect it would be open in time, but it was. I am delighted with the story that was done for me, a remix of "Trigger Finger" told from the PoV of the rest of SG-1.

I'm glad to hear that you got a story that you like; I know you've been disappointed sometimes in the past.

I think some of the best remixes are often ones which started with a quite small story, like a drabble, and expand it out to a full-length story, taking all the implied background and fleshing it out. I'm thinking, for example, of
- Alara Rogers did an expansion of an X-Men/TNG crossover drabble where Xavier got body-swapped with Picard
- i-forget-who did a lovely remix of a Harry Potter drabble about Arthur Weasely accidentally ending up at an SF convention. The original drabble was a lighthearted one-joke thing; the remix ended up being lovely and poignant.

So it doesn't really surprise me that your Hoggle-gardening story could end up being done so well. I started reading the remix this morning, but then I had to leave for work. But what I've read of it already shows the tangled relationship Hoggle has with Jareth; I'll be glad to read the rest of it.

It's too bad you can't remember more about the Harry Potter; I'd like to read that. Oh, well, I've more things to read than I've time to. But if it randomly pops into your head, will you let me know?
