kerravonsen: Jack looking at Daniel, who has his head on his arms: I'm having a bad day, ok? (bad day)

Woke up at o'dark'thirty.
What? Something's not right. Huh? No air coming through my mask, but the CPAP machine is still going and the electricity seems to be on. Fumble around in the dark. Oh, the humidifier tipped over. How on earth did that happen? Well, water doesn't seem to have gotten into the machine. Until I righted the humidifier, of course. I turned off the machine immediately, but I feared that the damage (if any) had already been done. Having learned my lesson from the last time this happened, I did not turn the machine on to see if it was all right.

Instead I disconnected it and turned it upside down. A good sign: no water came out. But still, no-turnee-onee if you want a machine that works. Instead, must leave it to dry. Which means no more sleep. What time is it? Oh, about 4am. Drat!

And it was cold, too. Turned on aircon on heat. Still cold. Dragged out of bed and walked to other end of house and turned on the gas heater, which told me that the temperature in the lounge room was 16 degrees. Checking the Bureau of Meteorology website a little later told me that the current average temp in Melb was 10 degrees. And that we are due for a top of 25. Guess I'm just not used to being up that early.

Read mail. Read flist. Calculated that if I caught bus at 7am, I could get to work at 8am, and thus be allowed to leave at 4pm, thus preventing (hopefully) the destruction of the company computers through my being a walking sitting zombie. Showered. Dressed.

Am eating my breakfast while I write this. Will catch bus ASAP (now after just after 7)

Oh well. It keeps me humble.
