I gave up on "Uncommon Sense" -- Mary-Sue meets Marky-Sam - ugh! I dunno, the whole thing seemed very shallow. And there was very little sense of place in the writing -- it was just GenericTown USA.

So I'm reading "Devlin's Honor" instead. Nothing like a gloomy hero for an angst-fest...
