naarmamo day eighteen:
I was hoping to get more beadwork done, but all I managed to do was pick out beads. So I bring you another saved-up photograph.

The thumbnail hadn't loaded on my browser so I didn't know what I was going to see when I clicked on it. As the image filled my screen line by line from the top I was seeing pine branches and thinking the scale was wrong for lichen. Then there was one of those image shifts you get with optical illusions and there was the moss and the lichen in the middle. It's lovely.

OK try again.. Lichen are exquisite when you get in close and you really got in close here. Like reapermum it took me a while to get the scale right and I thought you had a giant form of our tiny lichen.

I didn't realise lichen had flowers. What pretty and subtle colours.

Lichen doesn't have flowers, and I think it's a bit iffy over chlorophyll as well.

Yes, lichen doesn't have flowers, those "flowers" are some other plants mingled in.

The irony is that I didn't notice them until after I'd taken the photo -- I was concentrating on the lichen and the moss.
