I didn't realize when I took this one that it had captured this so well, but when I was going through all the photos later, I realized that this was the Photo Of The Day. It doesn't show so well in the thumbnail; see the full-size image to see why I pounced on it.

Date: 2006-08-11 09:05 am (UTC)Indeed. Luck and persistence: that's not the only bee-photo I took on that walk; the bees were buzzing around today, and I kept on snapping. But they kept on moving. It just so happened that this bee moved into the right spot, rather than away from it.

Thanks. I'm afraid I can't take credit for that -- it was on auto-flash. But I did like the result. Sometimes flash can make things nicer, other times it can wash them out.
