This is one of those few times when it would be so nice if you had access to a windows machine, because if you wanted to send some of your photos to Shockwave, they might use some for the daily jigsaws, and more people would get to see them. You do take wonderful pictures.
Shockwave is a computer games site. They provide free games and samples of games, including a daily jigsaw; I get the impression that the pictures are chosen from submissions by users, though now I think about it, I don't know how submissions are made. Anyway, they do use architectural and nature photos, and when I saw the one you just posted, I realized that the last three you've done would all seem right at home there.
This is indeed very cool. Very striking and evocative. And . . . well . . . just downright cool.
Your photos are making me wish I had more aptitude with photography myself. I've got my little digital Kodak just sitting here staring at me from its new dock, waiting to be used . . .
Half the secret is taking lots of photos and getting rid of 90% of them. That's what the professionals do. It isn't a case of magically getting the best photo the first time, it's a case of knowing how to be completely ruthless in the photos one rejects.
I find that having a digital camera makes it all a lot easier -- one can delete the obviously blurry photos straight away, and then one can winnow the others the same day when one downloads them off the camera.
