Here's my second naarmamo entry, a portrait of a glass half full (grin).

I took about 25 photos of this, this was the nicest one.

I decided to not use LiveJournal scrapbook for this, but my own gallery pages, in its own NaArMaMo gallery.

Part of that is the shape of the glass itself; it has an interesting indented base.

Yes, I like those, too. On the right side, with the vertical column of light in front of the dark, it almost looks like a tornado I saw once.

I'm not sure. I assumed it was a reflection of the big picture-window in the room where I took the photo.

(grin) Half-accidental -- I didn't have black velvet, but I wanted a black background, so I perched the glass on one of the lounge chairs which has a black fake-fur rug on it.

The dark strip below the surface of the water down the left edge of the glass definitely looks like a face, and the camera is in line with where your neck would be..

(shrug) I don't see it. Anyway, if there was a reflection of me, it would be a reflection of me and the camera, not my face...

Must be the way the curtain is hanging by the window then (or something else in the background) It's still a very effective picture.
