Looky at my newly revamped pretty home site (http://www.katspace.org)! I have been working on this for months, on a test site, and now I've changed over to the new setup. There are still a few things left to do (like wordcounts for stories) but it all works and stuff is all there. Except for the stuff I didn't want any more (which I think was just the polls page). Some things have been moved too...

It made me realize, y'know, I do have a rather big site there...

Ooh, shiny! And you have a bread crumb trail! (I've been thinking about adding one of those, after my site's a little bigger.) But I did almost miss it, as they're usually on the upper left.

Okay, I've swapped the logo and the breadcrumb -- is that better?

Er... dunno? I think most people would expect to see them both on the left, since the logo is a link to the front page. But it looks fine.

Yeah. That was bugging me too. I think I'll switch them both to the left, even though that uses more space.

It looks very good. And what's more, it works fine in 800x600 resolution, which an increasing number of sites don't nowadays but which is a boon for those of us with poor eyesight.

Oh good! I deliberately did it so that the layout would flow, using CSS rather than tables, so I'm glad that my choice is vindicated.

Wow, congratulations! Having managed a mid-sized website myself, this is definitely an undertaking accomplished!

Being in a particular section of your site was fine, it was just switching between the sections as I browsed that was a bit jarring, considering that the colors and backgrounds changed so completely.

It looks like your fic review list is significantly smaller than I remember it...I haven't read much fanfic in a while and thus haven't visited your site in a while, either. Did you pull stuff off a long time ago and I'm just behind the times?

Er, no. There are 905 reviews on the net-fic reviews page. I know I haven't done many recently, but I haven't been pulling them off. Are you sure you were looking in the right section?

A couple of the links from the assorted section of the fanfiction links page don't seem to have anywhere to go. "JJ's fiction" claims to have moved but when you follow from there it goes to a hosting resale page. And Pat Jacquerie's archive gives a server not found message.
