One Achievement today: fixed a bug in txt2html and did a release.
One Achievement yesterday: went swimming. Thanks to parents. We'd already planned that the three of us would try to go swimming regular, by catching taxi instead of imposing on sister-in-law, and they were especially good for yesterday was the first day of the Plan, but neither of them were up to swimming, but they went anyway for my sake. What I have been obsessing over: I have half-shredded my GenRepAr suite of scripts/modules (what I use for Net-fic reviews and WorkStorm) to use Tie::File (which meant changing the format of the data file again) and redo all the data stuff as perl ties (how cool and nifty) and running dprofpp over it all to figure out what functions are taking the most time and rewriting it to make it faster. Cool and efficient, whee!
I've nearly finished that phase of tweaking, but I'd like to see if I can write some stuff to make it join two data files and still keep it fairly fast. That way I can break up my evil all-data-in-one-file structure, because it really is more natural to have the Author information in a separate file. I know some people would say, why stop at two? And the answer is, that it would probably be easier to code for two than for N. I think. I could be wrong.
Um, I also redid my window-manager config on my PC, so I've just rearranged things a bit, with the pager (with more workspaces) in a different spot and using a Taskbar at the top instead of an icon-manager at the bottom.
Also been trying to record Samurai Jack and have missed a few eps though. It seems they're showing it seven days a week at the moment, which is pretty cool: weekdays at 8:30pm and weekends at 9am -- both times that I can usually manage (except on Tuesdays).
Work.... I've been chasing a danged heisenbug! I hate the thing. And it seems very far away from being swatted. Darn, I didn't want to be reminded of that. (sigh)
